Kimmel & Associates Receives the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce Sky High Growth Award

November 1, 2005 – Asheville, NC - On Wednesday, October 26, Kimmel & Associates, the nation’s largest executive search firm specializing in construction, was presented with a 2005 Sky High Growth Award by the members of the Asheville [N.C.] Chamber of Commerce.

The COO of Kimmel & Associates, Charlie Kimmel, mentioned several factors behind the company receiving the honor. “Nationwide, construction is very strong, and as construction recruiters, we have grown at a pace that reflects what is happening around the country. This year, 30 new recruiters have come onboard here as we grow in order to better serve our clients and the construction industry.”

Further, Kimmel added that, “Construction represents progress and energy, and much of the construction work going on in Asheville right now mirrors what’s happening in other towns. Old or formerly empty shells are refurbished and given new life, and new buildings offer retail and restaurants on lower levels and in-the-middle-of-things downtown living on the upper floors. I think one reason construction jobs are hot right now is that people find the revitalization that is going on in many cities pretty exciting and encouraging.”

It seems evident that the members of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce agreed with the viewpoint that Kimmel & Associates holds. Kimmel & Associates has grown to well past 100 employees, and that roster includes lifelong Asheville residents as well as many transplants and former tourists who fell in love with the quirky town in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

On hand to accept the award for Kimmel & Associates were President and Founder Joe Kimmel, Executive Vice-Presidents Jim Vockley and Paul Samuels, and Consultant Meredith Love.
