Mission &
Values
The Kimmel & Associates' Standard of Excellence
Our mission is “To assist in the corporate
growth of our clients; to assist in the personal growth of our
candidates; to grow profitably; and, to honor God in all we do.”
Mission
The Mission Statement of Kimmel & Associates encompasses the
values and ethics that dictate the way we conduct ourselves. Our
mission is “To assist
in the corporate growth of our clients; to assist in the personal growth
of our candidates; to grow profitably; and, to honor God in all
we do.” This
declaration of the principles and practices that motivate Kimmel & Associates
explains why we work with diligence and assures those for whom we work that
our efforts will be executed ethically and with great determination.
It also makes clear why Kimmel & Associates will place more
than 1300 candidates with top companies this
year and why we have become a staff of full-time recruiters and
consultants that continues to grow in numbers and experience. Among
those recruiters and consultants are professionals who have been
in the search industry for over 30 years.
Values
Consultants and recruiters at Kimmel & Associates feel that the
standard of excellence to which we hold ourselves has been set
by our clients,
and our sincere desire
is to work with as much honor and effort as those whom we serve.
Ethical and Professional Practices
A reason Kimmel & Associates maintains the trust and long-term client relationships
that we have earned over time is that we have stayed, at our core, the same
company that we were when we began. An uncompromising pledge to work hard
and honestly is taken up daily by a smart, highly-trained staff which prides
itself on deep and broad knowledge of the fields we serve.
Our professional goals are simple and necessary: we strive to
serve our clients with respect and confidentiality and, when called
upon, find the strongest
professionals for them to consider. We seek to know and provide counsel to
the finest professionals in the industry, many times providing strong clients
to speak to.
Our ethical imperative is clear:
- We work hard. We work carefully,
guarding the confidentiality of both clients and candidates.
- We work urgently, knowing that a client’s
timetable or a candidate’s schedule must often
dictate ours.
- And we work honestly: the company’s founder is unequivocal
in stating that his recruiters and consultants may not lie, deceive, or
distort information when dealing with clients and candidates.
Employee Training Program
Rather than relying on past accomplishments,
Kimmel & Associates works very hard to ensure that the experience
and
knowledge
that
our veterans have accumulated is passed along to new recruiters
as well. In 2004, the leadership of Kimmel & Associates instituted
a Certification Program that comprises 50 lessons taught by experienced
consultants to the next generation of recruiters. The Certification
Program teaches the technical side of recruiting but also places
emphasis on doing things the right way, acting ethically and working
with an attitude of service. Clearly, the goal of this program
is to train recruiters to work with the same dedication and honesty
that has been the company’s “standard of excellence” for
the past 25 years.
Support for the Builders of Tomorrow
We believe that the industries we serve are essential to the American economy
and are honored to work with them. As a show of support for the professionals
who build this country, Kimmel & Associates established the Scholarship
for Students in Construction, a series of scholarships paid out by Kimmel & Associates
to as many as 100 college students a year who are studying construction or
a field related
to construction. Each semester, Kimmel & Associates accepts applications
and seeks to award a $1,000 Scholarship to as many as 50 students whose
hard work and ability promise to help construction maintain its place as
an industry that leads and shapes
our country.
Making
a Difference
The Joe W. Kimmel Scholarship for First Generation Students
of Promise:
Joe W. Kimmel and his wife, Cynthia, have a special place in their hearts
for the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Six of their seven children
attended the university, receiving a high-quality, personalized liberal arts
education. Like hundreds of other students who have attended UNC-Asheville,
the Kimmel children benefited from the instruction and mentoring of gifted
faculty members committed to helping all students reach their full potential,
regardless of resources or limitations. Today, three of Joe and Cynthia’s
children work in the family business.
