FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---
Kimmel & Associates Introduces New Division at ConstructionIntern.com

February 28, 2009 -- Asheville, NC - Kimmel & Associates announces a new effort beginning in December 2008 to match construction companies with an element of the work force that is eager to carve out its place in the industry.

Kimmel & Associates, the leading executive search firm in construction in the United States, has launched a new division entitled ConstructionIntern.com.

Charlie Kimmel, the President of Kimmel & Associates, stresses that the new division will, as he put it, “strive to serve the industry, the clients we work with, and college students nationwide.”

The website will introduce college students who are studying construction, engineering, or architecture to leading construction companies nationwide; companies may advertise internships at the site and hope to attract talented students who want to establish their name in the industry by working at a leading company.

The program is explained and facilitated at ConstructionIntern.com, which is an outgrowth of Kimmel.com and which can be linked from Kimmel.com. /p>

It has been an ongoing mission at Kimmel & Associates to respond to client companies when they express concerns about the shortage of college students committed to entering the construction profession and keeping the industry vital and growing.

That concern, for example, led to Kimmel & Associates’ Scholarship for Students in Construction, introduced in 2004, which has given more than $300,000 in scholarships to students in 38 states and at 102 universities.

Similarly, ConstructionIntern.com is another outreach by Kimmel & Associates designed to assist clients in their efforts to strengthen their roster of talented builders.

Mr. Kimmel explained the structure of ConstructionIntern.com: “We kept it very streamlined. Students can register easily, and companies can post internships quickly. We stay out of the way – we are a conduit between these two groups, and the website is an efficient means for the two parties involved to arrange a relationship that benefits both sides.”

“This is a great site, but it’s just getting started. It’s going to be a hub that matches lots of students with great jobs, but its true value is still a year or two away from being realized as companies discover this service and start to post positions here that students will pursue.”

Kimmel.com has been re-designed for easier navigation and features a clear and quick link to ConstructionIntern.com as well. Contact Kimmel & Associates and let them serve your needs in the construction industry.
