FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---
Kimmel & Associates Certification Program Greets New Recruiters

February 13 , 2007 -- Asheville, NC - In 2004, Kimmel and Associates began Certification, an in-house program that offers between 45 and 50 classes taught by senior consultants to new employees. The course is designed to walk new employees through the complicated and ever-changing landscape of a search, as each class aims to teach them how to proceed thoroughly and properly, serving the clients for whom they work and providing opportunities for the candidates whom they meet.

On Monday, February 5th, the Spring 2007 Certification begins at Kimmel, with 20 new consultants and recruiters attending the first of many meetings that will run into May. These 20 will bring the total number of recruiters at Kimmel to over 115. The 20 people in Certification represents the largest single group to progress through the program since its inception.

COO Charlie Kimmel, who likens the effort to train new people to running a teaching hospital, said of the program, “The Certification program proved that everyone, including the program presenters, can always learn more about his or her craft, and we feel that a well-trained consultant or recruiter comes out of the Certification program with more expertise and with good ideas from many different perspectives.”

Kimmel continued, “I think this time, we’re emphasizing that the new people concentrate on the essentials. Our mission statement is “To assist in the corporate growth of our clients; to assist in the personal growth of our candidates; to grow profitably; and, to honor God in all we do,” and everyday, we’re telling the people in Certification to maintain those standards, because that will make them useful and dependable to their clients and, therefore, successful.”

Added Rich Weinman, a consultant who completed the program in Fall 2006, “Recruiting and consulting is a complex thing. The Certification Program offers the new employees an opportunity to listen and learn from experienced masters of the craft. It goes beyond ‘hands on training’: it reveals that Kimmel & Associates realizes that its greatest resource is its people.

“Construction work is always changing. A construction executive needs us to be as smart and well-informed as possible, and the Certification program makes us that much more versatile and sharp.”

The Spring 2007 Certification program will introduce several new classes as Kimmel & Associates strives to make its staff the best-trained team in the Executive Search business.
