During good times, sales positions in the Waste Industry have been called a necessary evil. When companies lose revenue due to their customer shut downs, bankruptcies and closings, sales departments become the one to blame for lost revenue.

One Sales Manager asked his reps to not call on major accounts because it produced too many requests for reduced service and therefore produced less revenue. Meanwhile, the Sales Manager for a broker wanted his reps to call on major accounts because they may need a reduction in service.

It�s a vicious circle.
